From interstate and local highways to rail and rapid transit facilities, and beyond, Wang Engineering, Inc. (Wang) specializes in geotechnical engineering, construction inspection, and materials testing services.

Established in 1982, Wang has provided services to a wide-range of state and federal governments, private, and public sector clients throughout the United States and overseas. Wang’s comprehensive geotechnical engineering and engineering geology services support the design, construction, and maintenance of different facilities.

In 2022, Wang became a subsidiary of Terracon, an employee-owned consulting firm compromised of more than 6,000 curious minds working from more than 175 locations nationwide, all focused on exploring and solving engineering and technical challenges.

Wang is prequalified to perform geotechnical engineering services by the Departments of Transportation (DOT) in Illinois and Indiana, as well as construction inspection and quality assurance testing in Illinois.

Safety is a core value and our commitment to an Incident and Injury Free (IIFTM) philosophy is one of the pillars of our culture. Successful execution and delivery include the need to work safely and keep our employees and the public safe every day. Wang Engineering is a safety-oriented company. We strive to build health and safety into all aspects of our business and into the thinking of our employees. The culture is continued further in our everyday work culture, with all meetings beginning with an IIFTM moment and safety discussion. If required, we can develop and provide a specific Site Health and Safety Plan.
